I had the privilege of attending the Legacy Live Event hosted by Michele Scism. The timing of the event was ironic since it was the same weekend my collaborative book project, Chocolate & Diamonds for the Woman’s Soul was released to the world.  It was ironic because I actually wrote my chapter four months prior to the event. My son is a basketball trainer and he often shares stories with me on the progress of some of his clients.  He has clients from middle school age through college level and one recurring theme I hear when a new client starts is they want to master the art of dunking without mastering the art of dribbling.   In his words, “Dunking is nice and it’s entertaining but it’s not what wins the game.  If you can’t master the fundamentals you will only get so far but you’ll never play in the NBA.”

"TOMORROW, TOMORROW, I LOVE YA, TOMORROW
YOU'RE ONLY A DAY AWAY."

Remember those lyrics from Annie? There is something about tomorrow that conjures up hope or despair depending on where we are today.  Something about tomorrow implies that there is more to come...maybe good or maybe not so good. There is also something about tomorrow that encourages procrastination.
